Life
Left ElCajon in '64 for the Air Force. Married in 1967 to an ElCajon "Brave" humm, Eagle & a Brave - Still married to same gal I met at Greenfield Jr. High.
Moved to Phoenix, Az in 1967 complements of Air Force - discharged in 1968 with AF Commendation medal. Joined Sperry Flight Systems - (now Honeywell )until 1982.
Moved to Beaverton, OR 1987 until present. Have had my own business as a Manufacturers Representative in Electronics assy. for passed 16years, and hope to lock the door in 2007. Recently, purchased a Quiznos Sub shop in Portland proper - 2nd business being managed by my eldest son. Not recommended unless its in a great location.
My wife has continued to provide computer sfwr support to our local school district with 11 schools looking to her for MAC support. She is a blessing when it comes to solving sfwr issues, being a ref between my manager and I when it comes to fiscal responsibility, reminding me of how important family and friends are and taking care of our personal fi...Expand for more
nances I'd be lost with out her. 40 year anniversary next year. Trade her in for two twenties?, I think not.
Accomplishments:
- Finished High School
- Associates Degree in Electronics & Business
- Married for 40yrs to same person
- Adopted 2 children, successfully raised and on their own
- Licensed Private Pilot with Instrument Rating since 1977 - currently active
- 16 yrs total military service including Air Guard and Army Reserves as instructor
- Piloted a sailplane cross country and gained an altitude of 15,000' w/o power
- Ran a marathon in 4hr 32min - Phoenix 1972
- Cancer survivor - 1999
- Own a business, 3 million in sales annually, from a $100 investment.
- Bought a Quiznos - maybe not have been the best business decision I've made
- Last but not least, have many friends, including those of Granite Hills Eagles, and have learned from the best, learned from my mistakes and hoping to mentor those who are looking to the future and donate my time and energy to those less fortunate.
